Arctic Water Polo is a club that plays in the Sutherland Shire Water Polo (SSWPA) Competition.
The SSWPA Competition
The Sutherland Shire Water Polo Association is an association for all ages and levels of experience. Whether you're a beginner or an expert, we have a division for everyone! We play on Saturday Afternoons and Friday Nights at Sutherland Leisure Centre.
A new format for the Saturday junior competition of two seasons is being played over the Spring/Summer season. Competiton will start in September for the fist season until December, and the second season will run February til March/April.
The Social Comp will remain unchanged running fro October - March (with a break from before Christmas until after Australia Day holiday.
SSWPA run trainings programmes throughout the winter months.
SSWPA & Arctic also host school holiday training camps.
Arctic Water Polo Club
Arctic Water Polo Club is the newest club to join the SSWPA competition. The first season of the Arctic Club was the 2011/2012 Summer Season. Arctic Water Polo was the result of the SSWPA staff club renaming to Arctic Water Polo Club, and absorbing the Caringbah Water Polo club. We have now expanded into the Menai / Revesby areas which will certainly be a great step forward for our future & for growing the game of water polo.
Our youngest age group are the Under 8s (All Stars) we have an Advanced Mini group (U10's) offering more skills devlopment to prepare for competition in U11 competition from there we have sequential years going up to the Under 15 held on Saturdays.
Players will then move to 18's & the Open division, (in which teams have no age limit or restriction). This is called the Social Competition played on a Friday night.
No prior experience is necessary for playing.
